Baum Such a wonderful tale that expands upon the movie and makes it an even more memorable story for people of all ages. 2. The Hobbit by J.R.R. The Museum of Intangible Things: A Review

Title: The Museum of Intangible Things Author: Wendy Wunder Genre: Young Adult Fiction Quotation: “It’s liberating, energizing, and thrilling to step outside all of the rules of decorum and exist in a place I’ve never dared to inhabit.” Would recommend to: anyone that has ever known anyone who has wanted to escape who they are. This was another one of those young-adult books that didn’t turn out the way I expected it. And I kind of liked it. Here’s a basic outline of the book: These two girls have been best friends since childhood and they know exactly how the other one ticks. They have been through more than any normal 18 year-old friendship has…

    Assholes: A Review

Title: Assholes *A Theory Author: Aarons James Genre: Sociology Quotation: “Life affords only so much time, and there are better things to do — sweeter spots to hit — than perfection in the asshole management arts.” Would recommend to: anyone who lets the asshole in their life get them down. I apologize now for the profanity, please feel free to exit this post and go look at Pinterest recipes that you will probably never make if you are anything like me if the word “asshole” offends you. Okay, now that they are gone, let’s get down to business. This book was HILARIOUS. James is a phenomenal writer that has some amazing talent hidden up his…

Books, New and Old, From Places Far and Wide

Here’s a special post brought to you by Ryan, a guest author often featured here on From Narnia to Neverland. He recently moved to Germany to continue his schooling and found that books are more than just books when you’re in an unfamiliar world. Happy reading, Kimberly   An Expatriate’s Life, One Good Book at a Time Until very recently, I had never wasted a minute thinking about how much my books weighed. This didn’t seem very pertinent as long as the book was good and I had a comfy spot to read it in. Unfortunately, the good men and women of the global airline industry thought otherwise. Bottom line…

    Top 5 Wednesday: Audiobooks

This Wednesday is all about your favorite audiobooks! Unfortunately, I don’t listen to audiobooks, because that takes the fun out of reading! To be honest, I’m not a very auditory person, so I have a hard time paying attention to someone just talking to me. Maybe in 2016 I’ll try out an audiobook, but for now I’m going to create my own topic and write about my favorite books involving audio (music, bands, instruments, etc.). 1. If I Stay by Gayle Forman The main character, Mia, was musical prodigy before a car accident changes her whole life. She has the choice to follow her parents or return to her boyfriend.…
