    Feed: A Review

Title: Feed Author: M. T. Anderson Genre: Science Fiction Quotation: “We went to the moon to have fun, but the moon turned out to completely suck.” Would recommend to: anyone who is weary of the development of technology. Feed‘s book jacket describes it as a science fiction tale of two teenagers who fall in love and choose to fight the “feed”, basically the internet in your head, together. I was expecting a story relatively similar to Divergent or The Hunger Games, both stories that include strong protagonists that challenge the current way of life to find something better. That is not what Feed is. Feed is the story of Titus and Violet and their struggle to overcome socio-economic prejudices they didn’t even…

    Treasure Tuesday

    1. I am still currently reading “Feed.” 2. 3. I danced for 12 hours in my schools dance marathon from Friday night to Saturday morning. Together we raised $276,720.16 for Duke Children’s Hospital! 4. You may or may not know this, but I love minimalistic designs. Here are a few redone YA covers with the kind of artwork I personally love. 5. I registered for my first semester of my senior year today! Time really does fly. Cherish every moment. Happy reading, Kimberly

    Treasure Tuesday

    1. I am currently reading “Feed” by M.T. Anderson. 2. This Wednesday is Greek Week at my school, and that means Greek Week Dance. This year I am a participant in the dance, and it’s been a rough time (I’m not a very good dancer), but I think I’ve finally got it. 3. 4. This week also marks Elonthon, our 24-hour dance marathon! I will be dancing for 12 hours to support Duke Children’s Hospital. I’m so excited to participate in this amazing event! 5. Do you live in London? Me either. But now I want to after looking at these cozy bookstores located there. 6.I hope this GIF can…

    Top 10 Tuesday: Spring TBR

Top 10 Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010. It combines what I love most in this world into one—lists, books, and blogging. It couldn’t be any better suited for me! This week I’m talking about the books on my To Be Read list for the spring. Most of these are required reading for my YA literature class, but that doesn’t mean I’m any less excited to read them. Let’s get started! 1. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell I’ve actually already started in on this one and it’s GREAT. 2. Midwinter Blood by Marcus Sedgewick 3. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz…
