Top 5 Daunting Books to Read in 2018

Do you ever find yourself shying away from books that seem like they’ll take up way too much of your time? No…? Just me? Well, that’s okay. Personally, I get a little book-shy when I know I’m going to have to commit a lot of time to one book (I have commitment issues, are we surprised?). I’m worried it’s going to derail me from my overall  reading goals even though I know the read will be totally worth it. I’m trying to face that fear, and I’ve given myself the task of tackling these five daunting books in 2018 that have lived on my shelf for far too long. Let’s…

    Book Haul: Christmas Edition

Hello friends! I hope every one has had an amazing holiday, regardless of what you celebrate or even if you celebrate at all! This time of year is perfect from spending time with family and books. I normally wouldn’t post anything about presents I’ve received, but I got so many books this year that I simply had to share with you all this amazing book haul! (Side note: This is in no way me bragging about anything I promise! And if you feel like it’s braggy at all, just click the little x in the right hand corner of your screen!) Top 5 Wednesday: Series I Want to Start

Christmas is THREE days away! And with that only nine days until the new year! With that being said, this week’s Top 5 Wednesday is dedicated to the series I want to tackle in 2016. Let’s get started! 1. Game of Thrones I’ve been hesitant to start these since I know they aren’t done yet, but I think 2016 is the year for me to finally get into this book, as well as the TV series. (I’m thinking of binge watching it in January.) 2. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy I have the entire series compiled into one book and looking at it is actually terrifying. It’s quite the…

Top 10 Tuesday: Series I Want to Read

Top 10 Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010. It’s a fun way for bloggers all over the Internet to connect and post the things they love about books. This weeks topic was the top ten series you have yet to finish, but I tend to finish series in a matter of days when they are all printed (with the exception of series that have too many books — I’m looking at you “Pretty Little Liars”.) So, I decided to switch up my topic to reflect the top ten series I want to read. 1. The Infernal Devices — Cassandra Clare I read the first book and…

    Top 10 Tuesday: Auto-Buy Authors

Top 10 Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010. It’s a fun way for bloggers all over the Internet to connect and post the things they love about books. This weeks designated topic is “auto-buy authors”. This refers to authors whose books you will buy no matter what. Personally, this is just too similar to the previous week for me (I’m not drawn to authors for some reason), so I’m going to list my Top 10 authors I want to read this upcoming school year. 1. Diana Gabaldon I’ve heard so many great things about “Outlander”. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. 2. George R.…

Check out these items every book-lover needs in their home according to Buzzfeed. I know I really want numbers 7, 19, and 28 for myself. 5. Rory is currently reading “The Bell Jar” by Sylvia Plath on “Gilmore Girls.” I personally love that book and will post a review on Friday about it. 6. Watch this adorable compilation video of cute animal friendships. 7. I am going to start reading and watching “Game of Thrones” soon. So I will post a comparative review in…

    Treasure Tuesday

Here’s what I have for you guys for your first ever Treasure Tuesday… 1. I’m currently reading the last book from the “House of Cards” series, “The Final Cut,” and preparing to finally watch the third season on Netflix. 2. “Game of Thrones” fifth season started on Sunday, and that means new episodes every week. 3. Figure out how many young adult books you’ve read by taking this Buzzfeed quiz. ( I’ve only read 20 out of 75, so I’m going to be adding some of these must-reads to my list.) 4. Here’s a video of munchkin kittens, because what cat lover doesn’t want to start their week snuggling a little…
