    Top 10 Tuesday: Quotes

Top 10 Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010. It’s a fun way for bloggers all over the Internet to connect and post the things they love about books. I know I posted a few weeks ago about my favorite quotations, but here I am again with another post all about my favorite quotes from the last year or so. 1. “Figure out what you want. Say it loud. Then shut up.” Amy Poehler — Yes Please This is one of the best pieces of advice I have ever received from a book. Amy speaks to me. Never be ashamed of what you want — if…

    Subliminal: A Review

Title: Subliminal: How Your Unconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior Author: Leonard Mlodinow Genre: Non-Fiction Quotation: “That realization doesn’t bother me; it gives me a greater appreciate of my unseen partner, my unconscious, always providing the support I need as I walk and stumble my way through life.” Would recommend to: people who are introspective about their behavior / readers who want to branch out from fiction This is one of the first books I’ve read that has no story-line. Treasure Tuesday

I am currently reading “Subliminal” by Leonard Mlodinow. 2. Over fall break, I went to Bald Head Island with two of my roommates. I had an amazing time paddle-boarding and riding bikes all over the island. 3.  4. Check out the longest domino chain made out of books. It was made in Seattle in 2013, and it’s really amazing! 5. Ever wondered if you would survive the Chamber of Secrets? Well, thanks to Buzzfeed, now you can find out. Apparently I would have barely made it out alive if it weren’t for my friends. Let me know what you get in the comments below. Happy reading, Kimberly

The Best Time to Buy a Book is All the Time

So I’ve done some shopping…I’m not proud of my addiction, but I understand it’s better than most. This is an extremely collective haul of books, some that I received as gifts and some that were free and some that were fewer than five dollars. So without further ado, let’s see what I’ve bought lately. Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy Along with this book, I picked up a little bookmark that says “Eat.Sleep.Read.” The perfect mantra for me. It’s a book about a girl who thinks she’s going to die from cancer, so she confesses all these truths to people. She ends up surviving her ailment and is left…
