    2019 Goals: An Update

I can’t believe I’m saying it, but we are officially halfway through 2019. It feels like yesterday I was sharing my goals for the year, and now it’s time for a little update. Overall, 2019 has been going pretty well. There’ve been more than a few bumps in the road, but I can’t really complain. I’ve gotten more enmeshed in Nashville life than ever before, I’ve made really great friendships in the last few months, and I’ve got more exciting changes coming in the second half of the year. Something that really helps me stick to my goals and keep them top of mind is bullet journaling. I create a spread…

    30 Days of Yoga

I want to be able to hold a handstand by the end of 2019, and what better way to tackle that goal than to do yoga every day? I didn’t start out January with a plan to do 30 days of yoga, but sometimes these things just happen. Yoga with Adriene does a 30 day yoga challenge every year, and when I went to do my first yoga session of 2019, I decided to try to do the 30 days just for fun. In the interest of full disclosure, I did miss a few days because of travel, so I finished the 30 day challenge in about 35 days, which is…

    2019 Goals

Wow, finally, a 2019 post! I know you’ve probably been waiting for this one for a while (and by “a while,” I mean a week and a half). Doing things because I want to do them, whether that means I do it alone or with a friend. Doing things that better me as a person. Doing things that help me get to where I want to be professionally and personally. I am so excited for this year, and I am ready to…

    An Introduction to Yoga

I’ve gone off and on workout kicks since I was about ten years old. Ten years old. It’s embarrassing to admit that I have been aware of my body weight since elementary school, but it’s the truth. I remember doing endless crunches and training for running the mile in gym class (I wasn’t the most athletic child, and I was really self-conscious about it). It’s sad that not only my young adulthood, but also my “carefree” kid years were riddled with body image issues. But that’s how it was. I’m not going to say I don’t still struggle with my body image, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve developed healthier…

    Treasure Tuesday

I’ve been making reading for pleasure a higher priority in my life and now read for 20 minutes before I go to sleep (instead of falling asleep to Netflix)! 2.  The best kind of exercise there is. 3. As you all may know, your favorite guest author is currently living in Germany. He spent this past weekend in France and ended up meeting someone from my hometown. It just goes to show you how small the world really is. 4. These book store signs featured on Buzzfeed have restored my faith in humanity. My favorite has got to be #20. 5. FGCU, a university a ton of my friends attend,…
